I am finding Soft LUDs on all my old h1bs (from first one) over last 10 months. One of them is a hard LUD and it is about the previous employer revoking H1B. But there are Soft LUDs prior and later to that on other H1Bs. All H1Bs are from big / medium corps and no known status issues / violations. They havnt touched the 485s since FP date.

01/31/2008 (H1B revoke status changed to reopend)
04/20/2008 (I140)
04/26/2008 (H1B approved Nov 2003)
05/18/2008 (H1B April 2005)
05/31/2008 (H1B June 2005)
Any one seen this before?..
Now that they have touched all my H1Bs , I think I will get to find out sooner or later if there they are upto some thing :D

People may get LUD (not trying to demoralize just facts), but with this recession....koi chance naheeen of any date movement.......bullietin or no bullietin...just cut and past of past month.......as far as i am concerned, first my id was kutta, now its Khujao Kutta due to the itch caused by the GC wait....dont know what the id will be next...in short wait will continue....:D

I collected my passport with the visa stamped yesterday from the VFS center in chennai. I sent an e-mail on tuesday to the consulate and i got a response from them saying it could take another 4 days approx and the delay was caused by the recent change and the introduction of the PIMS database. It looks like they are digging through your old records as well.
For those people whose passports have been delayed, it's most probably due to the PIMS database and i suggest strongly to send an e-mail with the subject line "PASSPORT PENDING for more than 5 days" and you would most often get the response the next day. Do not call the consulate as they don't tell you what you want to hear. The person who answers the call is an indian and he/she would not have much information to give you.
Could you please let me know when was your visa appointment and how many days it took before you got your passport. Mine was 6th Dec and no update from consulate yet.

I see that Dream Act folks are trying to get > 60000 points, to showcase their support. We need to match for the posts like Legal Immigration in there. Currently the top posts for "legal immigration" are around 2000 points. Not many ppl are not taking interest.

I assume you've likely never studied in India though. An bachelor's degree in engineering is not very expensive, if you have good grades.
10 years back it would cost about $100-200 a year, if you qualified through a state ranking system.
Tony, I didn't grow up in India. I am oblivious to its education ways. That said, some of the comments expressed here, is not the way to talk to anyone with an education, no matter what school they graduated. Anyway, I'm done here.

Hey GG - I did not take offense to your sentiments on B Com. What pissed people off, was your tone and disgust at the poor fellow and his qualifications, especially when you know little about his ability to carry out his job, or his background. In school, or on line -- he earned those degrees. Maybe he didn't have the financial resources to attend the best schools (I don�t know what is IGNOU). His employer has retained him, so perhaps he is good at what he does. He left his home, his family and traveled to some foreign shore to earn a living, not rob a bank. Show some respect. Anyway apologies for anything harsh I have said. Peace.

Hello:
I am working on EAD for company B. Company B filed H1 transfer for me before May 2007. I heard that You can transfer you H1 and EAD both with new company but I did not aware about this rule, I started working on EAD. Is it possible to go back on H1 which company B filed? I have not yet used AP for travelling abroad.

Well, it doen't make sense to buy any kind of property any where in universe now as they are all coming down. Some already had and some are near to the situation.
I agree with your point. So, wait for some more time. Right now most important thing is to hold your money tight. When you have a job market highly volatile, most important thing is to have money in hand for bad time (I pray to GOD that no one get to see this time).

I too had soft LUD's on Mar 26 and 27 and thereafter continuosly from 30 mar 2009 to 3rd Apr 2009 (total 7 days), this happenned after my reply to 485 RFE.
I didnt apply for EAD/AP or no other applications are pending except 485 . Recieved date is Aug 2, 2007 and My PD is NOV2004/EB3
Nembrask service center current processing date for 485 is 15 Aug 2007 , Looks like they are going through all the files in the order they recieved and pereadjucating each case else deniel letter.

As the guy who posted it said, this is a normal process....Consulates will know 3 to 4 days before...
That is correct, 9 months and then I will return to my country for good.
I am waiting for the day when we get the GC , we will tear it into pieces and throw in front of consulate.

Nothing for Me. I have neighbor trying to Go to EB2. B.SC. M. Tech. from IISC. Still he has to go though EB3 line. If they are still approving I can tell him.
